Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass are delighted to announce that Graham Peters has agreed to take on the role of Band President as Dennis Wilby steps down from  after 13 successful years.

Peter Cowlett, band chairman, gave thanks on behalf of the band to Dennis, adding that LGB Brass had grown from strength to strength during this period with guidance and support from Dennis and his vast wealth of experience and knowledge.

Incoming president, Graham Peters is delighted to follow in Dennis’s footsteps and is looking forward to working with LGB Brass. Graham initially trained as an engineer before changing direction becoming a  property investor and developer. He and Sarah have lived in Bodiam with their children for over 20 years. When she got fed up with seeing him for lunch each day, Sarah made him do some voluntary work. He has been involved in regeneration particularly in the rural areas of East Sussex for some 15 years. He chairs Team East Sussex (charged with regenerating the County), East Sussex Rural Partnership, is a parish councillor and churchwarden, was High Sheriff of East Sussex for 2013 – 14 and is now a Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex. For fun he sings, welds, fishes and swims and is now looks forward to attending brass band concerts!
