LGB Brass have an immediate vacancy for a front row cornet player who is perhaps looking for a change or a challenge to join our fun, hardworking band. The position is negotiable and offers the opportunity to work with our very experienced MD Ian Stewart and of course the fabulous members of the band! It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played with a brass band before, or even if you’re normally a trumpet player (we can supply an instrument if you don’t have your own).

The band is appearing at the forthcoming Cheltenham National Finals in September in the third section and has gained promotion to the second section for 2014. The band has a trip to Germany planned for August 2014 and always maintains a sensible mix of contests and concerts. The band are friendly and welcoming and you’ll undoubtedly feel at home very quickly.

You would be welcome to come along any Thursday to try us out at 8pm in All Saints Arts Centre, Friars Walk, Lewes. The bandroom is very close to the train station at Lewes and is therefore easily reached from a wide area, additionally there are lifts available from Brighton, Horsham, and Eastbourne areas.
