LGB would like to send congratulations to former member James Emberley – who, with Milnrow Band, placed third in the Championship section at the North West Regional Championships in Blackpool at the weekend. James also happens to be the son of LGB’s soprano cornet, Simon Emberley, and brother to LGB’s flugel player Alex (better known as Taff).

Milnrow will now go on to the national finals at the Royal Albert Hall in October, so good luck to all involved.

This weekend the London and Southern Counties Regional Championships take place in Stevenage – watch this space to find out who will be joining Milnrow in London and participating in the other section finals – which take place in Cheltenham in September.
