LGB Brass took first place at the scaba Entertainment Contest at The Hawth, Crawley, on Sunday May 15th.

The band beat off competition from seven other bands from across the south of England in the B section of the contest.

Each band played a short programme and was judged on music, entertainment value and deportment. LGB Brass scored 84 points out of a possible 100.

The adjudicator, David Horsfield, complemented the band on a “nicely varied and well balanced programme ably directed and presented by the Musical Director.”
