Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass were announced as scaba band of the year 2017 on Sunday 24th September at the Autumn Contest.

The band played came 1st in the Hymn playing When He Cometh and 2nd in the own choice test piece playing Music of a Legacy by Stephen Ponsford. The contest was adjudicated by Dr David Lancaster.

The band were awarded scaba band of the year in 2016, this is the second time in the awards history that it has gone to the same band two years running.
