Our Commitment to Safeguarding
At Lewes, Glynde & Beddingham Brass Band, the safety and wellbeing of all our members—especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults—is our highest priority. We are firmly committed to creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone involved in our band.

As part of this commitment, multiple members of our band have successfully completed the Brass Bands England BandSafe training, ensuring we adhere to best practices in safeguarding and welfare. We actively follow the principles and guidance laid out in the BandSafe framework and regularly review our policies to uphold the highest standards of care and protection. Furthermore, we have a number of band members who work within educational settings and have undertaken rigorous and thorough safeguarding training as part of their everyday jobs.
We believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we are dedicated to fostering a culture of openness, respect, and accountability.
For more information, review our Safeguarding Policy.

Raising a Concern:
If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a member of the band, or if you witness or experience anything that gives you cause for concern, please contact our designated Safeguarding Officer.
