If you love the sound of a brass band, why not invite us to your next event?

We are available to book for a range of functions, including concerts, outdoor events, private parties and weddings.

fanfare team

Up to 4 players with fanfare trumpets, heralding the arrival of your VIPs

quintet

A small discreet group for more intimate occasions where you need a bit more subtlety. Ideal for events in smaller spaces.

10 piece

Not quite the full monty but a bigger sound than a quintet, with music for any occasion. Perfect when you’re tight for space but still want to make a statement.

full band

The full shebang – 25 brass players and music suitable for your event. The best option for anything outside!

The cost of the booking depends on the size of the group, the duration of the event, how much preparation the band needs to do for it and how far we need to travel.

We have a pretty broad repertoire, but if you would like us to play specific pieces, please think about what those are. If we need to purchase them will we ask you to cover the cost (although our library is pretty extensive).

We usually play for not less than 20 minutes at a time, and will need refreshment and comfort breaks of 15-20 minutes every hour or so.

As an amateur group, most of us work full time, so weekday, daytime engagements can be tricky – but it never hurts to ask!

To discuss your event in more detail, drop us a message and our secretary will be in contact.

F.A.Q.

Things to think about

  • Is it a formal event, or something more casual?

This changes what you might want the band to wear, the sort of music we might need to prepare, and how you want us to blend in to your activities.

  • Are we just background music or would you like our conductor to ‘MC’ the event for you?

Our conductors are happy to talk your audience through our programme, or we are equally content to mind our own business and just provide some musical accompaniment for you.

  • Have you got enough space?

For a full band, we need around 7m x 7m. We’ll be as flexible as possible if you don’t quite have that much but there is a sensible limit. We’ll need chairs (without arms) for about 28 people. It’s extremely hard to play in rain and wind, so ideally we need a sheltered space – a large gazebo can work!

  • What we’ll need on the day

We need somewhere to securely store instrument cases and personal belongings, and parking nearby for large instruments (like tubas and drum kits). We’ll also need a heads up if there’s anything specific you’d like our conductor to mention.
