LGB Brass takes the strain

Teams from LGB Brass showed they had pulling power at Kingston Fete on Saturday June 21st.

The band was performing at the fete for the first time. Between two mini concerts, LGB players rolled up their sleeves for the fete's tug-of-war contest.

The men's team made it all the way to the final but was beaten by the Pre-school and Church team. The LGB women's team (the only adult female team in the contest) struggled valiantly against their competition but was knocked out in the first round.

The men's team was: Taff, Mark, Simon, Tony, Dave, Ian and Matt from LGB and Richard from Hangleton Band who joined us for the fete.

The women's team was: Jane, Emma, Katie, Jane, Sharon, Ruth, Jill, Sarah and Katy. Thanks to the Kingston lady who also helped us.
