Thursday December 11th
Concert sell-out success
A capacity audience filled the All Saints Centre in Lewes for the
annual LGB Brass Christmas concert on Thursday December 11th.
The event, organised with Lewes Lions, raised £740 for local
charities and organisations.
LGB Brass played a programme of Christmas favourites, including
White Christmas, Sleigh Ride and Rudolph the red-nosed
reindeer. The concert also featured cornet players, Simon Emberley
and Ian Hobbs, in the The Flower Duet by Delibes.
The sell-out audience joined the band to sing along to a selection
of festive songs and carols, including The Twelve Days of Christmas.
- The Christmas concert has become increasingly
popular in recent years and in 2009 it is moving to the Assembly
Room at Lewes Town Hall. LGB Brass will be joined by a choir for the
event, scheduled for Tuesday December 8th 2009.
