Sharon and Simon's wedding
Members of LGB Brass travelled to Scotland to play at the wedding
of 1st horn player, Sharon Wilson. Sharon married Simon Williams at
Selkirk parish church on Saturday August 21st. 15 players, conducted
by band musical director Ian Stewart, played Pachelbel's Canon
as Sharon walked up the aisle. They accompanied the hymns, The
Lord's My Shepherd and Love Divine.
During the signing of the register, LGB's principal cornet, Simon
Emberley, played the cornet solos My love Is Like A Red Red Rose
and Only Love. The ensemble played Cantina Band from the
film Star Wars for Sharon and Simon to walk out to. The reception,
including céilidh, was at the Victoria Halls.
