We're on our way to Harrogate!

LGB Brass celebrates a return to the National Brass Band
Championship finals at Harrogate in September.
The band won its place after coming 2nd in the fourth section
qualifying contest on March 20th at Stevenage. Led by musical
director, Ian Stewart, the band's performance of Saint Saens
Variations by Philip Sparke beat off 14 other bands for a place in
the finals.
This is the 2nd time the band has qualified for the National
Championships. LGB also came 2nd at its debut appearance at the
qualifying contest in 2006.
As well as a place in the finals, LGB Brass won £100 prize money
and the Christie Challenge Cup (see left). A member of a rival
band said: "You guys played brilliantly today, seriously good stuff.
Well done!" More pictures
