LGB Brass present £1,300 to Sussex Air Ambulance
More pictures
Members of LGB Brass visited the Sussex Air Ambulance base at
Dunsford Park on Saturday May 9th to present a cheque for £1,300.
The money was raised by the band's Brass for Life concert,
at Lewes Town Hall in March. The concert had been hosted and
supported by The Mayor of Lewes, Cllr Michael Chartier, and he joined
band members for the presentation.
The band chose to support Sussex Air Ambulance
after members heard how the service had saved the life of a former
band member, Matthew Perry, who was severely injured in a road
accident last year.
Matthew and his family were in the 250-strong
audience for the concert and they were also at the presentation at the
air base. One of the air ambulance crew that saved Matthew's life was
also on duty on Saturday and attended the cheque presentation.
