Top band for ex LGB player James
Ex-LGB euphonium player, James Emberley, has been picked to play
for one of the country's leading bands.
James, who is a music student at the University of Salford, has
joined the championship section band, YBS, as 2nd euphonium. He was
previously Principal Euphonium at Bactiguard Wire Brass.
James regularly plays with LGB during university holidays. His
father, Simon, is LGB's principal cornet and younger brother, Alex,
plays solo cornet.
YBS, formerly known as the Yorkshire Building Society Band, has
roots dating back to 1855 when a brass band was formed as an amenity
for the people of Saltaire. Last year, YBS took 5th place at the National Brass Band Championships at the Albert Hall. For more
