Mayor's award for young players
The
Mayor of Lewes, Cllr Michael Chartier, has launched a new annual award
for young brass band musicians.
Cllr Chartier presented the Mayor of Lewes Trophy and music gift
tokens to 16-year-old trombonist, Michael Frost. Michael plays in both
the LGB Brass youth and main bands and is currently studying for his
GCSEs at Priory School.
Cllr Chartier, who made the presentation at the LGB Brass weekly
rehearsal, said he was delighted to launch the award. He said it
would be presented every year by the Mayor of Lewes to the most
improved young player in LGB Brass.
