LGB youth ensemble
 There are about 10 members of the LGB Brass
ensemble. The
conductor is Matt Key (see left), who plays percussion in the senior section.
Matt also arranges much of the ensemble's repertoire.
The ensemble has experienced younger members of the main band and older musicians returning to brass bands after a break.
The band puts on its own concerts. It provided
music for the Mayor's Charity Carol Service in Lewes and a Christmas
event at Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare.
The ensemble also takes part in local competitions. In 2006,
and again in 2007, players from the ensemble won the youth section of
the Quartet and Ensemble Contest organised by Southern Counties
Amateur Brass Band Association.
