 Tribute to Jenny Line
  by Jane Stewart, LGB Brass

LGB Brass would like to celebrate the life of Jenny Line

Jenny sadly passed away in the early hours of Monday 26th January 2009 after a brave battle with cancer.

Jenny has been an integral part of the band since 1995, from its earlier days as the Glynde and Beddingham Band, to its present day as LGB Brass.  Jenny played Flugel with the band, moving from Solo Horn in 2007.

Known universally in the band as ‘mother’, Jenny cared for everyone, young and old, good player and not so good. She encouraged and helped all she came into contact with.

Jenny has played and depped with many local bands and was well known and liked by all who met her.

Jenny leaves behind her husband Tony (Solo Euphonium), son Chris (Soprano), daughters Jackie (ex Tenor Trombone) and Shelley (ex Bass Trombone), as well as sons and daughters-in-law and grandchildren.

The band is devastated by the loss of Jenny.

Jenny's family and friends filled St Richard’s Church, Eastbourne for her funeral on Thursday 5th February.

The congregation entered the church to her favourite music. LGB Brass accompanied the hymns and played Crimond as people left.

Instead of flowers, the family suggested a donation to Cancer Research. This can be done via Funeral Directors Haine & Son, 19 South Street, Eastbourne, BN21 4UJ (01323 727801)
