Matt and Nicky's wedding
Matt Key, LGB percussionist and conductor of the LGB Nippers
ensemble, married Nicky Sutton at St Mary's Church, Westham, on
Saturday May 8th.
The music for the wedding was performed by the Nippers, joined by
Chris Line, Nicky's cousin, and conducted by James Emberley, a former
member of LGB Brass. Katy Wakeford-Brown, another former member of LGB
Brass and the Nippers, now studying at the Birmingham Conservatoire,
joined the group for the service. LGB Brass's Principal Euphonium,
Tony Line, was the Best Man.
Matt arranged most of the music for the service, including Trumpet
Voluntary by Jeremiah Clarke for the arrival of the bride, the
traditional Welsh hymn Calon Lan for the signing of the register and
Serenade by Derek Bougeois for the exit of the bride and groom.
The reception was at the Yew Tree Inn at Chalvington, where Matt
and Nicky met and where LGB Brass plays regularly for the Ripe and
Chalvington Flower Show.
