In the Pink!

LGB Wear It Pink for breast cancer research

LGB Brass has raised £100 for breast cancer research.

Band members donated the money at their Wear It Pink rehearsal today (Thursday October 25th).

They wore pink shirts, ties, hats, socks, nail varnish, glitter, tinsel, wigs and buttonholes. Musical Director, Ian Stewart, even had a pink baton for the occasion.

Cancer charities are close to the band's heart this year. Two members of the band are currently being treated for cancer, one of them for breast cancer.

The money raised will go to the Breast Cancer Campaign, which funds research into how breast cancer develops and how treatment and diagnosis could be improved.

Rehearsals are at All Saints Arts Centre on Thursday evenings: 7-8pm for juniors and 8-10pm for the full band
