LGB Brass were delighted to receive a donation of £300 from the Police Property Act Fund this month, assisting the band to purchase much-needed new uniform jackets. LGB Brass support many events in and around Lewes, including their civic responsibilities covering Remembrance Day parades and the Lewes Bonfire procession. Some of the band uniforms have started to show wear and tear, so this donation will assist greatly in purchasing replacements. The Police Property Act Fund supports locally based crime prevention and community initiatives, and is made up of monies collected from various items of property which cannot be reunited with their owners, and are sold at auction.
